This barrel-aged wine from the 2022 vintage is crafted from Ezerjó and Generosa grapes harvested together. Post-fermentation, the wine is aged in 500-liter natural oak barrels for a period ranging from 5 to 12 months before being transferred to tanks and eventually bottled. The flavor profile is characterized by a distinct apple and spicy quality, enhanced by the unmistakable essence of barrel aging.
The vineyard is head-trained, similar to our Kövidinka and Sárfehér plantings. Situated in the Tüskösi vineyard of Imrehegy, this young vineyard is only ten years old. The sandy topsoil accelerates the ripening process, resulting in finer acids, while the Generosa grapes are harvested slightly overripe, adding to the wine’s complexity and depth. The unique terroir of Imrehegy, combined with meticulous vineyard management, contributes to the exceptional quality and distinctive character of this wine.
